FORT MYERS, Fla. – Less than 24 hours after one of the biggest wins in FGCU men’s basketball history against ACC foe Miami, head coach Andy Enfield announced the signing of forward Jordan Neff (Kennesaw, Ga./North Cobb HS) to a National Letter of Intent (NLI) on the first day of the early signing period on Wednesday afternoon.

Neff, a super-athletic 6-foot-7 power forward, led North Cobb High School to the Georgia Region 4AAAA Elite 8 last season and a 26-5 record.

“Jordan is an elite runner and jumper that can impact the game on both ends of the floor,” Enfield said. “We are excited to add another high-level athlete to our roster that fits perfectly with our up-tempo style of play. Jordan is extremely talented and we expect him to be a major contributor to our basketball program.”

Neff used his superior athleticism to fill up a junior season highlight tape that saw Kennesaw, Ga. native average 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game. Throughout his recruiting process Neff caught the eye of several high-profile media outlets, including Rivals.com who ranked him as a four-star recruit and ESPN.com, who graded him as the 87th-best power forward in the 2013 class.

“Jordan is one of the top players in the Atlanta area,” North Cobb Men’s Basketball Head Coach Terry Gorsuch said. “He combines excellent athleticism with a nice shooting touch. Jordan has been the cornerstone of our program for the last three years and I expect him to make a significant contribution to FGCU as a student and as an athlete as well.”

FGCU is coming off a 63-51 win over ACC foe Miami in front of a school record crowd of 4,552 fans at Alico Arena on Tuesday night. The Eagles look to build off its historic win as they host Ave Maria on Thursday at 7 p.m. before making the trip to Durham, N.C. to take on No. 9 Duke on Sunday.
