Hansen Earns College Sports Madness A-Sun Player of the Week Honors

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Redshirt junior Sarah Hansen (McKean, Pa./General McLane HS) scored 18 points in just 18 minutes in FGCU’s 89-38 win at Lipscomb and for her performance, she claimed College Sports Madness A-Sun Player of the Week honors on Monday morning (Feb. 18).

The McKean, Pa. native has earned CSM A-Sun Player of the Week accolades on four occasions this season and six times in her career.

Hansen, who currently ranks second in the FGCU record books with 1,325 career points, is second in the A-Sun in scoring (17.0 points), while ranking in the top 15 in six categories (rebounding, field goal percentage, assists, free throw percentage, steals, blocks). She has led the Eagles in scoring on 15 occasions and recorded six double-doubles this season.

The Green and Blue, who have made at least one three-pointer in 223 consecutive contests and 335 of 336 games in program history, will be back in action tonight (Feb. 18) when they take on the Norse of Northern Kentucky (11-11, 8-5 A-Sun) at the Bank of Kentucky Center at 7 p.m. Fans can watch live on ASun.TV or log onto FGCUAthletics.com to get links to live stats.
