DeLAND, Fla. – The 2013 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship continues with day two on Thursday at Melching Field on the campus of Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., and the second-seeded FGCU baseball team is set to face sixth-seeded Lipscomb in an elimination game beginning at 5 p.m.

The Eagles (37-19) dropped their opening round game against seventh-seeded Kennesaw State, 3-1, on Wednesday evening. In the first game of the day on Thursday, the Bisons fell to No. 3 North Florida, 6-1, to set up the meeting with FGCU.

FGCU holds a 12-6 all-time record against Lipscomb, after taking two of three in the regular season meeting between the schools. The Eagles shutout the Bisons, 8-0, in the opener of the series (Mar. 28) before Lipscomb leveled the set with a 5-2 game two (Mar. 29) win. The Green and Blue earned the series win with a 4-3 victory in the finale (Mar. 30).

It will mark the first-ever postseason meeting between FGCU and Lipscomb.
