FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU’s Cheyenne Jenks continues to rack up awards as she picked up her second All-American honor when she was named a first team Easton All-American on Tuesday. Jenks is one of 15 student-athletes from across the country to be named to the first team and the only representative from the Atlantic Sun Conference. While Jenks is the third All-American in FGCU softball history (Ashley Cecil Spencer; 2005, Carmen Paez; 2007), she is FGCU’s first Easton All-American and first Division I All-American. Jenks was named a third team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) just last week. She was also named the A-Sun Player of the Year along with receiving NFCA South Region First Team honors. A two-sport star, Jenks hit 23 home runs to sit second in NCAA rankings while her .473 average ranked fourth. The senior also knocked in 73 runs to lead the A-Sun and tie her own A-Sun single-season record. Jenks has been a part of three Atlantic Sun Regular Season Champions during FGCU’s two seasons in the A-Sun as she was also a member of the FGCU volleyball squad. The Naples, Fla. native recently earned a roster spot with the Chicago Bandits with the NPL (National Fastpitch League). 2009 Easton First Team All-American Brandice Balschmiter, University of Massachusetts, Senior Stephanie Brombacher, University of Florida, Sophomore Kelsey Bruder, University of Florida, Sophomore Kelsi Dunne, University of Alabama, Sophomore Francesca Enea, University of Florida, Junior Alisa Goler, University of Georgia, Sophomore Cheyenne Jenks, Florida Gulf Coast University, Senior Megan Langenfeld, University of California, Los Angeles, Junior Charlotte Morgan, University of Alabama, Junior Stacey Nelson, University of Florida, Senior Carly Normandin, University of Massachusetts, Junior Aja Paculba, University of Florida, Sophomore Brittany Rogers, University of Alabama, Senior Taylor Scholpy, University of Georgia, Sophomore Katie Schroeder, University of California, Los Angeles, Sophomore
