Courtney Platt Earns A-Sun Player of the Week
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Courtney Platt proved to be the hitting star for the FGCU offense, collecting nine RBI, to earn her first career Player of the Week honor, the conference announced Monday.
Platt led the Eagles to a 4-1 finish at the Blue & Gold Felsberg Memorial Tournament hosted by FIU. The sophomore finished the week with a pair of home runs (the first home runs of her collegiate career), a .571 batting average, a .647 on-base percentage, and a 1.286 slugging percentage. The Naples, Fla., native also had nine RBI, scored five runs, hit four doubles, and stole one base.
