Eagles Host Eastern Michigan on Tuesday Night

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU softball team will host the Eagles of Eastern Michigan for a double-header on Tuesday night.

The Eagles have a 11-4 overall record.

Senior Cheyenne Jenks (Naples, Fla.) has a .488 batting average and a .930 slugging percentage. She is currently tied for the conference lead in hits with teammate Jessica Paez (Belle Glade, Fla.). Jenks also has five homeruns and 21 RBI.

The Eagles solid pitching staff is led by junior Cat McDaniel (Melbourne, Fla.) McDaniel, who leads FGCU with 40 strikouts, is 6-0 with an ERA of 2.65 and has pitched two shutouts and a no-hitter this season. Freshman Cassidy Rash (Crystal River, Fla.) and senior Dana Frantz (Brighton, Mich.) are both 2-1. Rash has a 3.41 ERA and allows opponents a batting average of .231, while Frantz has struck out 16 batters this season.
