Jenks Swings Second Weekly Award
MACON, Ga. - Preseason All-Conference third baseman Cheyenne Jenks knocked in 14 runs to extend the Eagles winning streak to 17 with a 6-for-6 weekend at the Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament to earn her second consecutive Player of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.
Jenks, the Hawaii Tournament MVP, led the Eagles offense to a perfect record and batted .526. The art major belted four home runs in the tournament. In an 8-3 win against No. 25 Mississippi State, Jenks went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two runs scored, and two RBIs. The Naples, Fla., native had her best game in a 16-6 win over Radford, finishing 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, four runs scored, and five RBIs. She also racked up ten runs scored through the weekend.
