Softball Announces Summer Camps

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU softball program has announced plans for three summer softball camps for girls of all ages and skill levels. FGCU head coach Dave Deiros and his staff, who recently led the Eagles to a 47-9 overall record, will host the camp.

The camps will provide well-rounded instruction of the game and an enjoyable and rewarding experience for each camper. The camper to instructor ratio will be kept low in order to provide the best possible instruction and attention to each camper.

The Advanced Hitting camps will focus on the fundamentals and essential skills required to be a successful offensive player with specific emphasis on power hitting and slapping. The Beginner All-Skills camp will cover the fundamentals of all aspects of the game including pitching and catching. The Beginner All-Skills camp will be geared towards elementary and middle school age girls. Camp staff will include Head Coach David Deiros, Assistant Coach Paige Jones, as well as current and former FGCU softball players.

The cost of each camp is $200. There will be discounts for siblings and team members. The registration deadline is June 10th for the Advanced Hitting Camp #1, June 15th for the Beginner All-Skills Camp, and June 22nd for the Advanced Hitting Camp #2 .
