BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The FGCU softball team swept a double-header from Gardner-Webb on Friday afternoon. The Eagles are now 45-11 on the season and 13-1 in the A-Sun.

The Eagles took the first matchup from the Runnin' Bulldogs by a score of 14-7. Juniors Cheyenne Jenks (Naples, Fla.) and Samantha Waldron (Plant City, Fla.) both finished 2-for-5 with four RBI and three RBI, respectively. Freshman Courtney Platt (Naples, Fla.) went 2-for-4 with three RBI's. Rachael Edinger (Lakeland, Fla.) picked up her 20th win and Dana Frantz (Brighton, Mich.) picked up a save.

FGCU knocked off Gardner-Webb in the second game by a score of 7-4. Junior Cheyenne Jenks (Naples, Fla.) went 4-for-4 with a two homeruns and five RBI's. Junior Desiree Miller (Hartville, Ohio) finished 1-for-4 with a homerun and two RBI. Freshman Morgan Campen picked up her 15th win of the season, pitching 4.1 innings and striking out two. Frantz picked up her second save of the season, pitching 2.2 innings. 

The Eagles will be in action on Saturday afternoon when they meet the Spartans of USC Upstate in double-header action. The first pitch is set for 2 p.m.
