FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU softball program has announced plans for a fall softball camp for girls of all ages and skill levels. FGCU head coach Dave Deiros, who recently led the Eagles, who were in their first season at Division I, to a 48-16 overall record and a share of the Atlantic Sun Conference regular season championship, will host the camp.

The camp will provide well-rounded instruction of the game and an enjoyable and rewarding experience for each camper. The camper to instructor ratio will be kept low in order to provide the best possible instruction and attention to each camper.

The camp will be split into four sessions over a two-day period—November 8th and 9th, 2008. Days, times, and focus of each session are listed below:
• Beginning Hitting--Saturday, November 8th -- 9 am until 12 pm
• Beginner Defense/Pitching—Saturday, November 8th -- 1 pm until 4 pm
• Advanced Hitting--Sunday, November 9th -- 9 am until 12 pm
• Advanced Defense/Pitching—Sunday, November 9th -- 1 pm until 4 pm

The cost of the camp is $75 per session and $125 for any two sessions. There will be discounts for siblings and team members. The registration deadline is November 3th.
