Eagles Receive 16 Votes in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU softball team received 16 votes in this week's ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll the Amateur Softball Association announced on Tuesday.

This is the third time that the Eagles have earned votes in the ESPN.com national poll.

FGCU has a 33-5 overall record, including winning 25 of their last 26 games. Senior Cheyenne Jenks (Naples, Fla.) leads the team with a .485 batting average. Jenks also has 17 home runs, 55 RBI, and a 1.058 slugging percentage. Cat McDaniel (Melbourne, Fla.) anchors the pitching staff with her 14-0 record. McDaniel has an ERA of 1.99 and has pitched ten complete games, including three shutouts.
