CLEARWATER, Fla. – The first pitch of the 2010 FGCU softball season will have to wait one more day, as heavy rains prevented any games from being played on Friday at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Tournament in Clearwater, Fla. The Eagles are now scheduled to open the season tomorrow at noon against Canisius.

As a result of the weather complications today, the schedule for the remainder of the tournament has been altered. The Eagles are now scheduled to play four games rather than five, with the FGCU-East Carolina game being canceled. The other four opponents remain unchanged. Here’s a look at FGCU’s revised schedule for the rest of the tournament:

Saturday, Feb. 13

FGCU vs. Canisius – 12 noon – Field 8
FGCU vs. Long Island – 5 p.m. – Field 9

Sunday, Feb. 14

FGCU vs. Illinois State – 11 a.m. – Field 8
FGCU vs. No. 13 Georgia Tech – 1:30 p.m. – Field 9
