Sunday, March 21, 2010

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The final game for the FGCU softball team at the USF The Game tournament was canceled due to rain at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla. The Eagles were scheduled to play No. 16 Ohio State at 11 a.m., but a steady downpour from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. rendered the field unplayable.

The Eagles land back at home on Tuesday (Mar. 23) when they host a doubleheader against Dartmouth. Tuesday’s doubleheader will also be Pink Night at the FGCU Softball Complex. The Eagles will be wearing special pink jerseys which will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the games. The net proceeds from the auction will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. First pitch for game one is set for 5 p.m. at the FGCU Softball Complex.
