Jeff Miner enters his third season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Eagles.
Miner has been a teacher in the Lee County School System for 34 years. He currently teaches Physical Education at Hancock Creek Elementary School in North Fort Myers, Fla. In 2008, Coach Miner received the Lee County Physical Education Teacher of the Year award. He has 20 years of Varsity High School coaching experience. Coach Miner coached from 2002-2010 at North Fort Myers High School, where he was the Head Varsity Softball Coach. During that time the team amassed a record of 154-65, winning two district championships, one conference title, one regional championship and a state final four appearance. He was also selected as the 2009 News-Press Coach of the Year.
Coach Miner graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College, where he was a member of the Varsity Soccer team and twice received the Male Athlete of the Year award. He received a Masters of Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
He resides in Cape Coral with his wife Bobbie. They have two children, J.D. and Brooke.
