Eagles Set to Face Tulane in Siesta Key

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Gulf Coast sand volleyball team is set to take on Conference USA foe Tulane on Friday, April 13. The match is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.

The Eagles (3-3) come into Friday’s match riding a three-match winning streak. The Green Wave (1-8) enter the matchup having lost three in a row.

Holly Youngquist (Estero, Fla./Evangelical Christian HS) and Kaitlin Holm (Fort Myers, Fla./Fort Myers HS/Marshall) will play as FGCU’s No. 1 this weekend, while Karina Mambuca (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS) and Olivia Mesner (Boca Raton, Fla./Spanish River HS) will play at the No. 2 spot. Brooke Kohler (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter HS/Clemson) and Brittany Muse (Arcadia, Fla./DeSoto County HS) enter the contest as the Green and Blue’s No. 3 pairing. Rounding out FGCU’s team this weekend will be Jill Hopper (Muncie, Ind./Yorktown HS) and Whitney Masters (Muncie, Ind./Wapahani HS) at No. 4 and Gigi Meyer (Gainesville, Fla./Buchholz HS) and Lindsey Childs (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./South Plantation HS) in the No. 5 spot.

After taking on Tulane at noon, the Green and Blue will round out the regular season schedule Friday and Saturday at the Fiesta on Siesta Key tournament in Siesta Key, Fla.
