FORT MYERS, Fla. – After picking up a pair of wins in Atlanta two weeks ago, the FGCU swimming & diving team will host a tri-meet this weekend, as in-state rivals Miami and Florida State will pay a visit to Fort Myers on Saturday morning. The meet is set to begin at 11 AM.

FGCU is coming off of a 2-2 result at the Georgia Tech Fall Quad Meet, handily defeating Florida Atlantic and CCSA foe Georgia Southern. The Eagles fell to Alabama and narrowly lost to host Georgia Tech. Sophomore diver Stephanie Young (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) was named the CCSA Diver of the Week after her performance in Atlanta.

Florida State last competed October 3rd, when they defeated Florida International by a wide margin, one day after defeating Florida Atlantic 175-100. Miami traveled to Atlanta last weekend to participate in another quad meet hosted by Georgia Tech, where they came away with an 0-3 record. Clemson, Western Kentucky, and Georgia Tech all defeated the Hurricanes, though each result was within 64 points or less.

The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 AM at the FGCU Aquatics Center. Admission is free to the public.
