CCSA Names Hyddmark Swimmer of the Week

FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU’s Viktoria Hyddmark has been named the CCSA’s Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the meets completed November 9-15, it was announced today by the league.

Hyddmark, a junior from Lund, Sweden, earned two individual victories and a relay win to lead Florida Gulf Coast past CCSA rival North Florida, 181.5-116.5 last Wednesday. In the day’s first event, Hyddmark swam the opening leg of the 200 medley relay team that finished first in a time of 1:49.27. She then took home top honors in the 100 back, touching in 59.67. Hyddmark claimed her third win of the day, recording a time of 2:06.60 in the 200 back as the Eagles handed North Florida its first defeat of the season.

The Eagles swim team will be back in action in the 16th Annual Miami Invitational hosted by Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The meet is scheduled for December 3, 4, & 5.
