FGCU (7-5) enters Saturday’s meet fresh off a 2-1 weekend, and currently ranked No. 22 in collegeswimming.com Mid-Major Poll The Eagles topped Conference opponents North Florida and Campbell last week, but were edged by Georgia Southern by a mere one point (150.5-149.5). In the Eagles two wins, Rachel Rein and Courtney Gallo combined to win 9 events. Rein led the way winning five events and earning a new personal best in the 200-yard freestyle. Courtney Gallo posted three top times in the CCSA last week, Gallo posted top times in the 500 yard, 1000-yard, and the 1650-yard freestyle.

The Hurricanes (6-2) are coming off a convincing 184-74 win at Vanderbilt, Jan. 11, in which they won 11 of 12 individual events in addition to both relay events. Miami's 200-yard medley and freestyle relay teams each won easily while four individual swimmers, Ryann Labreche, Kirsten Pomerleau, Britta Boesing and Kelly Peloquin all picked up two wins apiece to give UM its first win of the spring season.

Last week the Panthers were led by junior Sara Giovannoni, and senior Peanut Lowell. Giovannoni won two events and senior diver Peanut Lowell won the 3-meter in an unscored meet against Florida Atlantic and Indian River CC.
