FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU Eagles continued their success in the pool with a victory over conference opponent Campbell with a score of 161 to 95. FGCU finished first in nine of the 16 events on the day after storming off the blocks with a first, second, and third place sweep of the opening event, the 200 yard Medley Relay.

When asked how he thought his team did, Coach Neal Studd said, “I’m proud of our girl’s effort after a long week of tough training, we tried to push them and they responded well.”

Junior Margie Chamberlin continued her personal success in pacing the Eagles with a first place finish in both the 100 Butterfly (57.30) and 200 Butterfly (2:05.02).

Freshman Leah Daniel also swam an excellent meet finishing more than 50 meters ahead of the rest of the field in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 10:46.65.

FGCU divers competed in an exhibition where sophomore Gaby Shaw posted the best score on the 1 meter board (221.32) and sophomore Sarah McCullough scored a 215.78 to lead the Eagles on the 3 meter board.
