FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU Swimming and Diving team looked impressive in their last home meet of the year against University of North Florida.

The Eagles overwhelmed the Ospreys throughout the entire meet by taking the top spot in every event in which they competed.

Once again, the 200 Medley Relay team of Viktoria Hyddmark, Catrina Silveira, Margie Chamberlin, and Isabela Mills Pinto set the standard of performance for the day with a 1:51.20 in the first event.

Senior Courtney Gallo, on a day in which she was honored for becoming the first senior in the FGCU Swimming and Diving program, turned in an impressive 10:22.50 in the 1000 Yard Freestyle.

Many Eagles contributed to the victory, but pacing the Eagles was Freshman Vicky Cadge who garnered a pair of first place finishes (50 Free, 100 Breast) and a second place finish in the 100 Free.

FGCU won the met 129 -71.

The Eagles will look to continue their success as they travel to Coral Gables next Saturday to face in state rival University of Miami.
