Neal Studd, head swimming and diving coach at Florida Gulf Coast University, and his staff have announced the dates for their 2010 Summer Camps for boys and girls ages 7-17.

The FGCU swimming & diving team won the 2010 CCSA Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center, repeating as CCSA Champions. Karmin McNamara was named Most Outstanding Diver and Neal Studd earned Co-Swimming Coach of the Year.

At the end of day two of the 2010 CCSA Championships at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatics Center, the FGCU swimming & diving team continues to lead in the championship with a score of 534.5 and Davidson is in second with 419 points, while Gardner-Webb is locked in third with 363.5 points.

After day one of the 2010 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Championships in Knoxville, Tenn., the FGCU swimming & diving team is in the lead with 232 points, Davidson is in second with 218 points and Gardner-Webb is third at 160.5.

The FGCU swimming & diving team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. this week for the 2010 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships, where they will look to defend their title from a year ago. The championships, which will be held at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center, begin on Thursday and continue through Saturday.

The FGCU swimming & diving team moved up to fifth in the latest CSCAA/CollegeSwimming.com Division I Mid-Major poll, released Tuesday morning. The Eagles were ranked sixth in the previous poll. FGCU has wrapped up the regular season, and now have their sights set on securing a second consecutive CCSA Championship.

FGCU's Karmin McNamara has been named the CCSA's Women's Co-Diver of the Week along with Davidson's Linnea Buttermore for meets competed Jan. 18-24, it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the League. This marks the second consecutive award for McNamara and the fourth time she has earned the honor this season.

The FGCU swimming & diving team ended the 2009-10 regular season with another convincing win, defeating Florida International 194-94 Saturday at the FGCU Aquatics Center. The Eagles have now won nine consecutive dual meets, each by at least 65 points.

After completing their second consecutive undefeated CCSA season, the FGCU swimming & diving team will close out the regular season at home on Saturday with a dual meet against Florida International University. The meet is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start. Prior to the meet, lone senior Margie Chamberlin will be honored and the 2009 CCSA Championship banner will be unveiled.

The FGCU swimming & diving team added two more weekly awards on Tuesday, as Leah Daniel was named CCSA Swimmer of the Week and Karmin McNamara was named CCSA Diver of the Week, the conference announced this afternoon. This is the second time Daniel has earned a weekly award, and the third weekly honor for McNamara.

The FGCU swimming & diving team swept the field at the Georgia Southern quad meet, defeating CCSA foes Georgia Southern, Gardner-Webb, and North Florida. With the three wins, the Eagles improve to 11-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 in CCSA competition, the second straight season FGCU has finished undefeated in the CCSA.

The FGCU swimming & diving team dominated the field Friday night in the first day of the Georgia Southern Eagle Quad Meet. The Eagles currently lead Georgia Southern, Gardner-Webb, and North Florida after winning five events and claiming five second-place finishes.

The Florida Gulf Coast University swimming & diving team looks to remain perfect in CCSA competition when they travel to Statesboro, Ga., to compete in a quad meet featuring four CCSA schools. The Eagles will compete against Georgia Southern, North Florida, and Gardner-Webb. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Georgia Southern's Recreation and Activities Center.

The FGCU swimming & diving team improved to 3-0 in CCSA competition with a 174-76 victory over the Radford Highlanders at the FGCU Aquatics Center. Vicky Cadge, Myriam Plante, and Leah Daniel each won a pair of events for the Eagles.

Following a month-long break, the sixth-ranked FGCU Swimming & Diving team returns to action Tuesday afternoon when they host CCSA foe Radford University in a dual meet at the FGCU Aquatics Center. The meet is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start.

The FGCU swimming and diving team embraced the spirit of the holiday season by giving of their time to help others. On Friday, December 11, the team took a break from the pool to tutor students at Bonita Springs Middle School.

Florida Gulf Coast's Karmin McNamara has been named Women's Diver of the Week for meets competed Nov. 30-Dec. 6, it was announced today by the League. This marks the second time this season that McNamara has earned this honor, previously winning the award for the meets competed Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

The FGCU swimming & diving team wrapped up the Miami Invitational with a strong final day, using a pair of A final wins to solidly claim a second place finish overall. The Eagles held off a field that featured schools from the Big Ten (Illinois) and the Big East (Cincinnati) as well as some of the top Division III schools (Emory and Denison).

The FGCU swimming & diving team slipped to second place after the second day of competition at the Miami Invitational. The Eagles came into the day holding a slim lead over the RedHawks, but Miami had a strong showing Friday, moving past FGCU into the lead, 1218-748.

Miami University has added a video stream for the Friday evening session of the Miami Swimming Invitational, in addition to the previously-announced Saturday evening session video stream. The video coverage will include the stroke-by-stroke account of P.A. announcer Mike Carpenter.

The Eagles placed two swimmers in the top ten in the 1650 free and FGCU won the 800 free relay on day one of the 16th Annual Miami Invitational at the Nixon Aquatic Center in Oxford, Ohio. FGCU holds a slim 134-128 lead over the hosts, Miami University, with Wright State in third with 120 points.

The meet is scheduled to begin Thursday (Dec. 3) at 6 p.m. and last through Saturday (Dec. 5) evening.

The Florida Gulf Coast University women's swimming and diving team is ranked fifth in the first CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA Mid-Major Division I poll of the 2009-10 season. The Eagles are ranked higher than any other CCSA school, with the closest CCSA opponent being Davidson (20th).

FGCU's Viktoria Hyddmark has been named the CCSA's Women's Swimmer of the Week for the meets completed November 9-15, it was announced today by the league. Hyddmark, a junior from Lund, Sweden, earned two individual victories and a relay win to lead Florida Gulf Coast past CCSA rival North Florida, 181.5-116.5 last Wednesday.

The FGCU swimming & diving team handed CCSA rival North Florida its' first loss of the season on Wednesday, 181.5-116.5. With the win, the Eagles improved their dual meet record to 7-3 on the season, 2-0 against CCSA opponents.

FGCU's Karmin McNamara has been named the CCSA's Women's Diver of the Week for meets competed Oct. 26-Nov. 1, it was announced late yesterday by the League. McNamara won both the 1- and 3-meter diving events in FGCU's tri-meet with FAU and Tampa.

The FGCU swimming and diving team swept Florida Atlantic and Tampa in a tri-meet Friday evening, picking up convincing victories over both schools. The Eagles defeated FAU 180-112 and knocked off Tampa 194-92.

The FGCU swimming & diving team continued their strong start to the 2009-10 season, crushing Florida International 205.5-92.5 at the Bay Vista Aquatics Complex on FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus. Of the 16 events that were held, the Eagles placed first in 13.

The FGCU swimming & diving team will travel to Miami tomorrow to take on Florida International University in a non-conference dual meet. The meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at the Bay Vista Aquatics Complex located on FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus.

FGCU's Leah Daniel has been named CCSA Swimmer of the Week after winning two events on Saturday, the conference announced Wednesday. Daniel led the Eagles to their first-ever victory over the University of Miami at FGCU's tri-meet that included Florida State, winning a pair of events and placing third in another.

The FGCU swimming & diving team hosted their first home meet of the 2009-10 season Saturday, defeating Miami 195-99 and falling to Florida State 187-113. This was the first-ever win for FGCU swimming over the Hurricanes. With the split, the Eagles record now stands at 3-3 on the season.

After picking up a pair of wins in Atlanta two weeks ago, the FGCU swimming & diving team will host a tri-meet this weekend, as in-state rivals Miami and Florida State will pay a visit to Fort Myers on Saturday morning. The meet is set to begin at 11 AM.

Florida Gulf Coast University sophomore diver Stephanie Young (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) has been selected Women's Diver of the Week by the CCSA, the conference announced Thursday afternoon. Young helped FGCU to a pair of victories in its season-opening meet at Georgia Tech, as the Eagles defeated Florida Atlantic and Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon.

The Florida Gulf Coast University swimming & diving team opened up the 2009-10 season with a split-decision, leaving the Georgia Tech Fall Quad Meet with two wins and two losses. FGCU handily defeated FAU and Georgia Southern, but narrowly fell to Georgia Tech and lost to the University of Alabama.

This morning the Florida Gulf Coast University Swimming & Diving Team hosted their annual Blue/Green scrimmage at the FGCU Aquatics Center. The Green Team defeated the Blue Team by a score of 165-133.

Danielle Beaubrun has signed a National Letter of Intent with FGCU's Swimming and Diving Team. Beaubrun competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics last August while representing her home island nation of St. Lucia.

Swimming and diving has released its 2009-2010 schedule. The schedule features five home meets, including home tilts against CCSA rival Radford and in-state rival FIU.
