FGCU senior swimmer Viktoria Hyddmark has been named to the 2010-2011 Capital One Academic All-District 3 At-Large first team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Fresh off its third consecutive Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Championship, the FGCU swimming and diving team learned it achieved Scholar All-American status for the fall 2010 semester with a 3.29 grade-point average (GPA) as announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

FGCU women's swimming and diving sophomore-to-be Danielle Beaubrun competed in the Central American and Caribbean Games during July 18-23 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Beaubrun competed in the 50, 100 and 200-meter breaststroke, breaking five national records along the way.

The winner of the 200-yard butterfly at the 2010 CCSA Championships, FGCU women's swimming junior-to-be Danielle Butler recently competed in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2010 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships in Irvine, Calif. Butler finished in 55th place out of 142 swimmers with a time of 1:02.24.
