FORT MYERS, Fla. - For the third consecutive time, the FGCU swimming & diving team continues to receive Top 25 votes in the TYR / CSCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Poll announced on Wednesday.

FGCU picked up seven votes in this week’s poll. The Blue and Green are currently on an eight-meet winning streak and have not lost to a conference opponent since January 19, 2008 when they lost at Georgia Southern by one point.

The Eagles are one of 62 women’s teams to earn votes and are ahead of Kansas, South Carolina, Nebraska and Iowa. FGCU is the only team from the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) receiving votes.

FGCU celebrates its six seniors as it hosts FAU on Friday, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. at the FGCU Aquatics Center. It is the Eagles final meet before defending their back-to-back conference titles at the CCSA Championship beginning on February 17.
