FORT MYERS, Fla. – For the second straight week, FGCU senior Maegan Butler (Orangeburg, N.Y./Tappan Zee/FAU) has been named Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Diver of the Week, announced by the league Wednesday.
Butler competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events during the Green and Blue’s dual meet victory over ACC foe Miami. She placed fourth on the 1-meter board with a score of 238.80 and earned a fifth place finish on the 3-meter board with a 230.17 total.
This is the fourth time in her two-year career at FGCU that Butler has been named CCSA Diver of the Week. The Eagles have won the award three straight weeks beginning with teammate Cayla Collins (Largo, Fla./Osceola) who won the first award handed out by the CCSA this season.
The Eagles will be back in action Friday, October 26 when they host FIU in a dual meet at the FGCU Aquatics Center beginning at 5 p.m.
