As A Junior (2011-12)
Set a new St. Lucia record in the 100-meter breast at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico and with the time of 1:10.63 qualified for the 2012 London Olympics … Earned CCSA All-Conference honors after two bronze finishes in the 100 breast and 200 breast at the 2012 CCSA Championship … Also was a part of first place finishes in the 200-medley relay and 400-medley relay … Held the top time in the 200 breast (2:16.26) in the CCSA and led the Eagles with top times in the 50 breast, 100 breast and 200 breast.
Competed in the 14th FINA World Championships during July 28-31 in Shanghai, China … finished in 19th place in the 50-meter breast stroke while representing her native St. Lucia … After posting a time of 33.09 in the qualifier to earn a spot in the second of five heats, she improved by more than eight-tenths of a second in the 50-meter race with a time of 32.27 to win her heat of eight competitors … she was just three-tenths of a second away from finishing in the top 16 and earning a spot in the semi-finals … earlier in the week she set two national records for St. Lucia with a time of 33.07 in the 50-meter breaststroke on the way to a 100m breast time of 1.11.34, which helped the junior finish 32nd in the world … the previous records in those events were 33.09 and 1.11.93 respectively.
As A Sophomore (2010-11)
Was a CCSA All-Conference honoree after picking up a gold medal in the 100 breaststroke and a silver in the 200 breast … both times top the programs record book … swam the 200 IM against FIU (Oct. 29) with a time of 2:13.34 … posted a season-best time in the 100 free with a time of 55.04 at the Georgia Tech Invite (Nov. 19) … had the conference’s fastest time in the 100 breast at the CCSA Championship (Feb. 17) at 1:02.21, shaving almost two seconds off her time set as a freshman … the time is also a CCSA Championship record as well as a NCAA ‘B’ cut time … her time of 2:16.79 in the 200 breast at the championship was also the best of the season as she improved by almost seven seconds … helped the 200 and 400 medley relay teams to first-place finishes at the CCSA’s.
Competed in the Central American and Caribbean Games during July 18-23 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico … competed in the 50, 100 and 200-meter breaststroke, breaking five national records along the way … finished in the top five in each of her preliminary races … took fourth place in the 100-meter breast, clocking in at 1:12.30 … finished sixth in the 50-meter with a time of 33.15 seconds and ninth in the 200 at 2:43.38
As A Freshman (2009-10)
Finished third in two events at the league meet to earn All-Conference honors ... was part of the 200-yard medley team that placed third in the opening meet against FAU and Georgia Southern (Oct. 3) … clocked in with a first-place finish against FIU (Oct. 24) in the 200 medley relay … swam the 50 free against FIU as well placing second … finished second in the ‘B’ final of the 200 breast at the Miami Invitational (Dec. 5) … earned a fifth-place finish at the CCSA Championship (Feb. 18) with a 1:04.85 time in the 100 breast ... recorded the 10th-fastest time in the conference in the 200 breast with a 2:23.29 … won two bronze medals at the 2010 CCSA Championship as a member of the 200-yard and 400-yard medley relay teams.
Attended the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla. ... graduated in 2009 ... swam for coach Sergio Lopez ... qualified for 2008 Beijing Olympics in the 100m breaststroke, representing her home country of St. Lucia.
Favorite sport to watch is soccer ... biggest accomplishment so far is going to the Olympics ... chose FGCU because of the climate, coaches, and dorms ... daughter of Christopher and Karen Beaubrun.
