Sophomore (swimming: Earned a seventh-place finish in the 1000 free (11:21.62) in a tri-meet with Florida Atlantic and Georgia Tech...suffered season-ending injury in December.
Sophomore (cross country): Finished 40th at the Miami Greentree Invitational...Finished 73rd at the Atlantic Sun Cross Country Championships.
Freshman (swimming): Teri opened the year with a lifetime best 200-yard Breaststroke (2:33.14) at the Eagles inaugural meet against Miami (FL) ranking her 3rd among top Eagle performers in this event. She recorded her personal best time in the 100-yard Breaststroke at the FAU/Tampa/GA Tech Invite with a 1:12.28. She currently ranks 4th among FGCU performers in the 100 Breaststroke. Teri also was the fifth fastest Eagle swimmer in the 1000-yard Freestyle (11:01.08) and the 1650-yard Freestyle (18:04.55). She received 11th place honors in the mile at the CCSA Championships earning the team six points. Teri will return for the 2009 season as an effective distance Freestyler and Breaststroker for the Eagles.
High School: Graduated 2007 from Ramstein American High School…Coached by Bob Clinton…Honors received was high point 2005 and 2007…Pentathlon 2006 and 2007…Most Valuable Swimmer 2005 and 2006.
Personal: Daughter of Fredric and Brenda Plotkin…Hometown is Landstuhl, Germany…Majoring in Secondary Education-Math…Minoring in Chemistry...Favorite book is Swimming to Antarctica…One thing no one really knows about Teri is she makes the World’s Best Trail Mix (learned from her mom)…Career aspiration is to become a High School Math Teacher…Chose FGCU because of secondary education, Florida, the outdoor pool, the beautiful arena, the apartment style housing, and Bright Futures.
