Volleyball Sweeps Barry for 12th Straight Win

The Eagles gained an early 5-1 lead and a suffocating defense would not allow the Buccaneers to come back at all. Ana Kokanovic (Lazarevac, Serbia) and Audrey Campbell (Tampa, Fla.) led the team with four kills each, Kokanovic hitting .800 percent and Campbell .667 percent. The Buccaneers were able to shorten the deficit between themselves and the Eagles, but could not counter in the end. The Eagles won game one, 30-15. Barry was able to take an early 11-8 lead, but a 7-0 Eagle run fueled by a couple of aces from Kokanovic put FGCU out front. The Eagles took a 27-21 and appeared to be ready to wrap up game two. Barry then went on a 6-0 run to even the score at 27 all after three straight FGCU hitting errors. FGCU was able to score the last three points to wrap up game two 30-27. The
Eagles jumped out to an early 8-1 lead and never looked back. FGCU quickly built a double digit lead and coasted to a 30-13 game three lead.
