Nichols Announces 2011 Summer Volleyball Camp Schedule

FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU Volleyball Head Coach Dave Nichols has announced his 2011 summer camp schedule.

Starting on July 19, 2011 and running through July 31, 2011, Nichols and his staff will be hosting summer volleyball camps for all ages at Alico Arena. Artichoke & Company, a delicatessen and full service catering company located at The Village on Venetian Bay in Naples, Fla. will provide all lunches and dinners during the camps.

2011 All Skills Camp
July 19th – 20th 2011
Check In = 9-11 a.m. on July 19th
Check Out = 5-6 p.m. on July 20th
Commuter $250, Resident $285

July 21st – 23rd 2011
Check In = 5-7 p.m. on July 21st
Check Out = 5-6 p.m. on July 23rd
Commuter $285, Resident $320

July 26th – 27th, 2011
Check In = 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on July 26th
Check Out = 7-8 p.m. on July 27th
Commuter $250, Resident $285

Description: This camp will hone all six volleyball skills. Players will be grouped by ability and then matched with just the right coach. The format will include skill stations as well as play. After these five volleyball packed sessions you will be ready to take your game to the next level. Campers must bring their own breakfast foods, Lunch and Dinner will be served at Alico Arena in the VIP Room.

2011 Position Training Camp
July 24th – 25th 2011
Check In = 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on July 24th
Check Out = 7-8 p.m. on July 25th
Commuter $250, Resident $285

Description: Players will be grouped by their preferred position, and then will learn more about their position than they ever imagined! The format will be two thirds training on a specific position, and one third bringing all positions together to work on their skills in a 6 v 6 game format. We know you will leave camp with more skill, more tactics, and a better understanding of how to play your position. Campers must bring their own breakfast foods, Lunch and Dinner will be served at Alico Arena in the VIP Room.

2011 Team Camp
July 28th – 31st 2011
Check In = 9-11 a.m. on July 28th
Check Out = 8-9 p.m. on July 31st
Commuter $300, Resident $350

Description: This camp will combine skill sessions, wash drill sessions, and team competition. We encourage high school coaches to attend. Share ideas with our knowledgeable and experienced coaches. The format will include skill sessions in the morning, wash drills in the afternoon, and regular matches in the evenings. Systems, mental approaches, and tactics will be also be taught. We will finish with a camp Tournament. Campers must bring their own breakfast foods, Lunch and Dinner will be served at Alico Arena in the VIP Room.
