Eric Krause joined FGCU Athletics in September 2010 as an intern. After his first year, he was promoted to strength and conditioning assistant. He works directly with women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, and the men’s tennis teams.
A 2008 graduate of Temple University, (Philadelphia, PA) with a BS in Exercise Science, Krause completed and internship at the University of South Florida under the direction of coaches Ron McKeefery – currently the head strength and conditioning coach for the University of Tennessee - and Frank Wintrich – currently the head strength and conditioning coach at North Texas University.
While at USF, Krause had the opportunity to work with NFL talent like Nate Allen, (Philadelphia Eagles) and Jason Pierre-Paul (New York Giants) along with many others.
Krause is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also has extensive experience working in the health and fitness field as a personal trainer for various fitness centers.
