FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Just two weeks after guiding the FGCU women's basketball team to its second NCAA Tournament appearance in three years, Sarah Hansen (McKean, Pa./General McLane High School) added to her list of accomplishments. The senior captain earned a position on the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete team, as announced by the organization announced on Monday, Mar. 31. Hansen earns the recognition for the third-consecutive year.

The 12th-seeded FGCU women's basketball team (26-8) scored just five points over the final 11:38, including overtime, to drop a heartbreaking 61-60 decision to 5th-seeded Oklahoma State (24-8) in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Purdue's Mackey Arena.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- After earning their fourth-straight Atlantic Sun Regular Season title, the FGCU women’s basketball team captured the program's second Atlantic Sun Conference Championship with a 72-70 overtime victory over Stetson on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Eagles earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The team will learn their seed, opponent and game information Monday night in a live Selection Show and all fans are invited to attend.
