Eagles Close Out Preseason WNIT Saturday at Georgia Tech

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU Women's Basketball team will close out the Preseason WNIT with a third round game against Georgia Tech Sat., Nov. 21. Tip off at Alexander Memorial Coliseum is slated for 2:00 p.m.

FGCU enters the game at 1-1 and is coming off a 80-64 loss at New Mexico on Nov. 15. Adrianne McNally (Howell, Mich.) led the Eagles with 25 points and six rebounds, while Brittany Brown (Flint, Mich.) finished with 14 points and four boards.

Georgia Tech (1-1) is coming off a 70-64 loss to Oklahoma State. Sophomore Sasha Goodlett scored a career-high 21 points but the then 19th-ranked Georgia Tech women's basketball team couldn't pull out the win.

The prestigious preseason tournament has featured 16 teams, 11 of which played in the postseason last year. The format for the event guaranteed each squad three tilts. The championship game between Ohio State and Oklahoma State is set for Sunday, Nov. 22.
