LaDuke Leaves FGCU Women's Hoops Team
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University freshman Jordan LaDuke (Flushing, Mich./Flushing HS) has left the women's basketball program for personal reasons, head coach Karl Smesko announced Friday.
“Jordan has informed me of her decision to leave the team,” Smesko said. “We wish her the best moving forward.”
LaDuke, a native of Flushing, Mich., signed with FGCU after finishing her high school career with 1,529 points. As a senior, she was named Player of the Year on The Flint Journal's All-Area team and was ranked as the sixth best senior in the state of Michigan according to MichiganRankings.com.
Aiming for their eighth 21-plus win season and a fourth consecutive bid to the WNIT, the Eagles will tip off the 2010-11 campaign by hosting the Pirates of Seton Hall at 7:05 p.m. on Nov. 12, in the season-opener for both teams.
