Spots on Fan Bus Still Available

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Tickets for the 2012 General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Conference Basketball Championships held at the University Center on the campus of Mercer from February 29-March 3, can be purchased through the FGCU ticket office beginning on Friday morning.

With FGCU postseason eligible for the first time in its Division I history, fans can get ticket booklets that include admission into every game of the men’s and women’s tournament (14 games) for $75. All tickets are general admission.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the FGCU ticket office Monday-Friday, between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 239-590-7145, in person at the Alico Arena ticket office or by ordering online at www.fgcuathletics.com/tickets. Tickets through the FGCU ticket office must be purchased by 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27.

FGCU athletics is also putting together a bus trip to Macon, Ga. for the tournament. The $175 per person or $350 per couple fan bus trip includes transportation to the tournament along with a ticket booklet(s). The FGCU men’s and women’s programs lead the A-Sun with a combined 16 conference wins, while the women have already clinched a spot in the eight-team league tournament. Led by first-year head coach Andy Enfield, the men are currently in a tie for fourth place at 6-5 in the A-Sun, while the women’s 11-0 start to conference action has them in first by two games.

Itinerary for the Fan Bus:

Departure:
• If the first game is in the afternoon on Wednesday, Feb. 29, the bus will leave at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28
• If the first game is in the evening on Feb. 29, the bus will leave at 8:00 a.m. on Feb. 29

Return:
• If the women play in the championship game at noon on Saturday, March 3, the bus will depart by 3 p.m. (ETA 11 p.m.)
• If the men make the championship game at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, the bus will return on Sunday, March 4, at 8 a.m. (ETA 4 p.m.)
