Women's Basketball to face Rollins in NCAA First Round

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball team makes their first ever post-season appearance when they open the NCAA Division II Championship Tournament with a South Region first round game against Rollins College Friday afternoon. The fifth-seeded Eagles (28-1) face the fourth-seeded Tars (28-1) at 1 p.m. EST. FGCU is currently ranked No. 11 in the latest USA Today/ESPN Division II National Poll while Rollins is No. 9. All games in the South Region will be played in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, home of Henderson State University. The winner will advance to the semifinals to face the winner of the Delta State/Tampa game at 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday. Live game stats can be found on the South Region Website.
