The Eagles, the nation’s leader in three-pointers made per game (10.8), are the lone Atlantic Sun Conference team represented in this week’s Mid-Major Top 25.
The women's Mid-Major Top 25 is comprised of teams from the America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt and West Coast Conference.
The Blue and Green (24-3, 17-3 A-Sun), who won the 2010-11 A-Sun regular season championship and secured a fourth consecutive WNIT automatic bid, return to the court to this weekend when they host the three-day Hilton Garden Inn FGCU Classic beginning on Friday, March 4. The Eagles play Seattle (7:30 p.m.) on Friday before facing Longwood (7:30 p.m.) on Saturday. FGCU closes out the classic against SIU Edwardsville at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.
