Hansen Named College Sports Madness' A-Sun Player of the Week

FORT MYERS, Fla. - After leading the Eagles (26-2, 18-0 A-Sun) to a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference road wins to secure an undefeated regular season conference record last week, redshirt-sophomore Sarah Hansen (McKean, Pa./General McLane HS) earned her second College Sports Madness’ Atlantic Sun Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award, the website announced on Monday night.

For the week, Hansen averaged 21 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks, while shooting 68.2 percent from the field and 92.3 percent from the charity stripe.

In FGCU’s 76-63 win at USC Upstate (Feb. 23), Hansen finished with 22 points in just 22 minutes of play, She also had three rebounds, one block and one steal. Two days later, Hansen recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Green and Blue team defeated A-Sun foe ETSU, 71-64, at the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center.

Tip is set for 12:00 p.m. ET and the game can be seen live on ESPN3.com.
