Representing the FGCU women's team at the NCAA Division I Cross Country South Regional for the second time in program history, senior Barrie Cohen (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional HS) and junior Kelly Perzanowski (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville HS) traveled to Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday to compete at the 6K event hosted by Florida State. Perzanowski came in 101st place and set a school record 22:02.6 in the 6K.

The FGCU men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the 2012 NCAA South Regional set for Friday in Tallahassee, Fla. hosted by Florida State. The women’s 6K will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by the men’s 10K at 9:15 a.m.

Led by 13th and 17th place finishes from junior Kelly Perzanowski (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville HS) and senior Barrie Cohen (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional HS), the FGCU women’s cross country earned a seventh place finish at the 2012 Atlantic Sun Conference Championships, Saturday morning.

FGCU will host the 2012 Atlantic Sun Conference Cross Country Championships this Saturday, Oct. 27 in Buckingham, Fla. The women’s 5K is scheduled to start 8:45 a.m. followed by the men’s 8K at 9:30 a.m.

Friday night.
