ORLANDO, Fla. – Led by junior Barrie Cohen’s (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional HS) seventh place finish in the 5K event, the FGCU women’s cross country team finished in fourth place at the 28-team Disney World Cross Country Classic at the Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday morning.
“I think the fourth place finish was good,” said fourth-year head coach Cassandra Harbin. “The weather was difficult today, but the team didn’t worry about the things they couldn’t control and went out there and competed well this morning.”
The Eagles took fourth place with a total of 158 points, trailing only Tampa (48), FAU (62) and Drake (114). It was the Green and Blue’s highest finish this season in an event which featured more than 15 teams, and the team’s best since its second place finish at the season-opening FGCU Invite.
