Sophomore: Casey Hasten became a solid fourth and fifth option for the eagles in 2007. She ran a 21:06.34 at the Gulf Coast Stampede, a 21:02.56 at the A-Sun championships, and a personal best of 20:47.23 at the Stetson Hatter Invitational.

Freshman: First season with the Eagles. One of FGCU’s Top Runners…Had a season best time 20:21 (5K) at the Gator Invitational…Posted a season best finish 7th with a time of 20:42 at the Florida Tech Invitational…Second best runner for FGCU at the NCAA Division 2 Regional Championship with a time 24:33 (6K).

Prep: Attended Mariner High School…First team All-Area in junior year…Five Top Three finishes her senior year…Placed first in the Triton Invitational (2005)…Led Mariner to a third place finish in both Districts and Regionals…Led Mariner H.S. to first ever XC State Meet where she finished 15th and the team placed 12th overall…Third Team All-State…First Team All-Area…Two-year team captain…Holds school record for 5K with 19:57 finish…4 year letter winner in softball.

Personal: Hometown is Cape Coral, Florida…Daughter of Shawn and Penny Hasten…Majoring in Nursing…Career aspiration is to become a Nurse…Most thankful for his family…Chose FGCU because its close to home.
