Women's Golf Finishes 7th at FSC Invitational

LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team finished seventh in a field of 13 teams in the Florida Southern College Invitational this weekend. The Eagles got off to a slow start for the first two rounds of the tournament, scoring a combined 323 in round one and 324 in round two. FGCU had its best round the last day of the tournament scoring a combined 307. Sophomore Heather Hagerman (New Port Richey, Fla) led the Eagles’ charge on the final day by shooting a 71. Sophomore Natalie Lueck (Beaver Falls, PA) added to the third round rally with a 74. Individually, Hagerman finished tied for 14th, and Lueck tied for 28th. Senior Brittany Bertilson (Austin, MN) finished 37th. The Eagles are preparing to travel to Sebring, Fla. in a week to compete in the Northern Illinois University Spring Invite.
