CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The FGCU women's golf team completed its 2008 spring schedule with a fifth-place finish in the UC Women's Spring Invitational at the Plantation Golf Course in Crystal River, Fla.

Heather Hagerman paced the Eagles with a third (tied) performance in the tournament, posting a team-best 223 (76-74-73), five shots off the tournament winner Danielle Jackson from Stetson. Hagerman's third-round 73 was the best score posted by a FGCU golfer during the tournament.

Amber Pedersen (238=78-79-81) and Katania Toomalatai (239=78-81-80) were the second and third-leading scorers for the Eagles, both finishing in the Top 25 overall. Maria Venot (243=82-81-80) and senior Hillery Wilson (250=77-86-87) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles.
