Florida Atlantic carded a tournament-best 299 in Friday's final round to capture the 2008 EKU El Diablo Intercollegiate championship, played at the par-72 El Diablo Golf and Country Club. Florida Gulf Coast and host Eastern Kentucky University rounded out the top three team positions.

2/14/2008 FGCU Athletics Announces the Hiring of Two New Coaches
Florida Gulf Coast University Athletics Director Carl McAloose announced today that Terry Jo Myers and Jennifer Magley will join the athletics staff on July 1, 2008. Myers has been named Director of Golf Operations/Head Men's and Women's Coach, while Magley will be the Head Women's Tennis Coach and Assistant Academic Advisor for the Eagles.

12/12/2007 Third Annual Ben Adams Memorial Scholarship Event Proved to be a Success
The Florida Gulf Coast University men's and women's golf teams hosted the third annual Ben Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund Eagle Scramble Pro-Am on Monday, December 10, 2007. The event, which was held at Miromar Lakes Beach Golf Club in Fort Myers, Fla., featured instruction from FGCU's head coach Dr. Jim Suttie and PGA golf greats Paul Azinger and John Daly.

At the 2007 Hatter Fall Classic hosted by Stetson, the FGCU women's golf squad had four golfers finish in the top-25 and finished third overall in the final tournament of the fall season.

At the 30th annual Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship hosted by Florida International, the FGCU women's golf squad finished in tenth place.
10/14/2007 Women's Golf Completes Second Fall Tourney
At the 2007 LPGA International Xavier Invitational hosted by Xavier, the FGCU women's golf squad finished in 11th place in their second tournament of the season.
9/30/2007 Women's Golf Wins FGCU Fall Invitational
The FGCU women's golf team won the FGCU Fall Invitational by two strokes as Heather Hagerman won the individual title by four shots as well
10/2/2007 Dr. Jim Suttie, JP Meyer Assume Women's Golf Coaching Duties
Following the resignation of women's golf head coach Holly Vaughn (effective October 14, 2007), Florida Gulf Coast University Athletics Director Carl McAloose has announced that Dr. Jim Suttie and John Paul Meyer will assume coaching responsibilities of the women's golf team beginning on October 15, 2007 for the remainder of the 2007-08 season
