FGCU Women's Golf 7th at UCF Invitational
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team tied for seventh at the University of Central Florida Invitational at Stoneybrook Country Club in Orlando. The Eagles turned in a two-round total of 313-309-622 to tie with Florida Atlantic. Georgia State University took home the title with a two-day score of 583.
The Eagles picked up five strokes in the final round to tie the Owls and finished two strokes behind host UCF. Rollins was second, followed by Florida International and Augusta State in the top five.
Freshman Heather Hagerman (New Port Richey, FL) led FGCU with a two-round performance of 74-73-147 to finish seventh individually among all golfers. Pamela Feggans of Florida Southern was the individual winner with a three-under par 141.
Freshman Hallie Schweitzer (Flower Mound, TX) fired a round of 82-72-154 to tie for 21st
while junior Brittany Bertilson (Austin, MN) shot rounds of 77-78-155 to finish tied for 23rd. Freshman Natalie Lueck rounded out the scoring in 50th, posting a 80-86-166.
The Eagles are back in action at the Florida State Lady Seminole Invitational on February 20.
