TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Freshman Heather Hagerman won her first collegiate tournament to lead the Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team to a second-place finish at the 2005 Lady Seminole Classic in Tallahassee on Tuesday afternoon. Hagerman (New Port Richey, FL) fired a 7-over par 153 to take medalist honors and lead four Eagles golfers in the individual top-10. Junior Brittany Bertilson (Austin, MN) finished in a tie for sixth with a two-round score of 163. One shot back was freshman teammate Hallie Schweitzer (Flower Mound, TX) in eight place. Freshman Natalie Lueck (Beaver Falls, PA) finished in a tie for 10th with a two-round total of 166. Barry University won the event by seven shots over FGCU, finishing with rounds of 316 and 321 for a total of 637. The Eagles posted rounds of 323 and 321 for a total of 644. Host Florida State finished third with a score of 658.
