Women's Golf 10th After Two Rounds at FSC

LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team completed the first two rounds of the Florida Southern College Spring Invite. The Eagles are 10th out of 14 teams competing. Round one of the tournament saw the Eagles in the middle of the field, as they tied for eighth at the end of the round. Sophomore Heather Hagerman (New Port Richey, Fla.) had an excellent day, finishing seventh at three over par. Freshman Cassie Sherron (Cape Coral, Fla.) played well and finished tied for 30th, shooting an 81. Senior Brittany Bertilson (Austin, Minn.) had a good day with an 83, putting her tied at 40th. Round two, the Eagles fell to 10th in the team standings. The leader of the day for FGCU was Hagerman, who is tied for 28th. Hagerman shot an 85 on day two, bringing her two-day total to 160. The final round of the tournament begins tomorrow morning at Cleveland Heights Golf Club in Lakeland, Fla.
