Women's golf places 5th out of 18

by Jessica Pasternack SEBRING, Fla.- The Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team competed at the Northern Illinois University Spring Invitational placing 5th overall. Lynn University finished 1st with an overall score of 596. The Eagles were led by senior Brittany Bertilson (Austin, MN.) who shot a 68 in the first round and a 76 in the second round to give her an overall score of 144 and placing her tied for second. Freshman Cassie Sherron (Cape Coral, Fla.) had an overall score of 151 and tied for 16th overall. Sophomore Heather Hagerman (New Port Richey, Fla.) tied for 27th with a score of 154. Sophomore Hallie Schweitzer (Flower Mound, TX.) tied for 44th with a score of 158 while sophomore Natalie Lueck (Beaver Falls, PA.) tied for 51st with a score of 159. The Eagles will now prepare for the Nova Southeastern Invitational to be held in Miami, Fla. from March 26-28.
