FORT MYERS, Fla., - Florida Gulf Coast University Director of Athletics Carl McAloose has announced that Terry-Jo Myers has decided to not accept the coaching appointment for FGCU Men’s and Women’s Golf.

"Over the past week, it has become clear to me that the demands of the position of Director of Golf Operations/Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach will make it impossible to balance all of my previous National and Statewide commitments. Therefore I will be unable to accept the appointment," stated Myers.

"I thank President Bradshaw and Athletic Director Carl McAloose for this outstanding opportunity and look forward to working with the golf program on a volunteer basis."

"I am disappointed that Terry-Jo has had second thoughts, but respect the fact that she does not want to give up her other commitments," said McAloose. "I think she would have done an outstanding job for us, but understand that she does not want to walk away from the other organizations she is so passionate about. We will definitely take Terry-Jo up on her willingness to volunteer."
