Women's Golf Places Fourth at JU Classic

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The FGCU women’s golf team left Jacksonville, Florida this past weekend with a fourth place finish. FGCU finished with a two-round score of 653 (329-324).
The Eagles were paced by sophomore Kastania Toomalatasi’s score of 156 (80-76), placing her fourth overall in the field.
Also garnering honors with another solid performance for the fourth consecutive tournament was junior Amber Peterson who shot a first round 83 and a second round 80 for a total score of 163 as she finished second among all Eagles.
The Eagles finished fourth with Florida Atlantic just edging them out for third place. A-Sun opponents Campbell (619) and Stetson (637) took the top two spots on the weekend.
The Lady Eagles will be back in action on March 6 as they travel to Sebring, Florida to compete in the Spring Lake Intercollegiate Golf Challenge.
