Eagles Finish Play at Wendy's Invitational Tournament

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team ended play at the 2009 Wendy’s Invitational Tournament in Charleston, S.C. on Tuesday afternoon. At the conclusion of the second day, the Eagles found themselves in ninth place at the 36-hole event.

On the team leaderboard, FGCU shot a 651 (321-330). Briana Carlson (Inverness, Fla.) led the Eagles with a score of 153 (76-77) which tied her for 10th overall.

Coastal Carolina University shot a 1-over par 285 Tuesday to capture the team championship at the tournament with a score of 586 (301-285).

The Eagles will now head back to Southwest Florida for the 32nd Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational which will be held in Fort Myers, Fla. The tournament tees off on Monday, October 26th at the Pelican Preserve Country Club.
