FORT MYERS, Fla. – As the final round came to completion at the 32nd Annual Pat Bradley Invitational Tournament in Fort Myers, Fla., the Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team was in tenth place on the leaderboard. Freshman Briana Carlson was the top scoring Eagle, tying for sixth overall.
Competing against the Eagles at the two-day, 54-hole event were Central Florida, Furman, Cincinnati, South Florida, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Stetson, Missouri State, Florida Atlantic, Bradley, Daytona State, Drake, Murray State, North Texas, and tournament host Florida International.
Moving into the final round of the tournament, FGCU was in a tie for ninth place with Drake University. As the three-round outing drew to a close, FGCU dropped into tenth place with a score of 915 (301-296-318). Furman University finished the outing ahead of all other schools, submitting a score of 870 (290-288-292).
On the individual leaderboard, Freshman Briana Carlson (Inverness, Fla.) led the way for the Eagles with a score of 217 (70-73-74), which placed her in a tie for sixth overall.
Also placing in the individual top 20, Junior Lina Elmsater (Solna, Sweden) tied for 15th overall, turning in scorecard of 222 (74-72-76).
The 32nd Annual Pat Bradley Invitational marks the final tournament of the fall season for the Florida Gulf Coast University women’s golf team.
